About This Place

Pho Thanh II is a standout Vietnamese restaurant located at 637 E Joyce Blvd in Fayetteville, Arkansas, offering an authentic and comforting culinary journey through traditional Vietnamese flavors. Renowned for its rich, aromatic Pho Nam—particularly the Pho Tai Eye round steak and Pho Tai Nam with brisket—this eatery truly shines in delivering the soul-soothing noodle soups that Vietnamese cuisine is famous for.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the hearty dishes. Whether you crave the delicate freshness of the spring rolls, the crispy texture of Cha Gio (fried egg rolls), or the bold flavors packed in their Com Bi Thit Nuong—a steamed rice dish with grilled and shredded pork—Pho Thanh II offers a menu that satisfies a wide range of tastes. The variety extends to their vibrant hot pot selections and comforting appetizers like crab rangoon and pot stickers, each dish bursting with fresh herbs and expertly balanced spices.

The culinary experience is heightened by the vibrant beverages on offer, including the creamy, sweet Thai Tea and the refreshing Mango Bubble Tea, which provide a unique, delightful contrast to the savory mains. Diners consistently praise the freshness of ingredients—from the crisp vegetables served alongside Pho to the perfectly cooked meats in their beef lo mein and stir-fried broccoli dishes.

Customer reviews highlight not only the exceptional quality and generous portions but also the authentic seasoning that sets Pho Thanh II apart from other Vietnamese venues in the region. One loyal visitor mentioned this location’s rice dishes and Pho are even more flavorful than some places in Dallas, a testament to the care taken in every recipe.

While the restaurant can get busy, indicating its popularity, some guests have noted the service could be more attentive, especially during peak times. Nonetheless, many patrons appreciate the friendly staff and the consistently fast service that ensures you’re back to enjoying your meal promptly.

In essence, Pho Thanh II is a must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Vietnamese comfort food in Fayetteville. Whether you’re warming up with a steaming bowl of Pho Tai Nam on a chilly day or cooling down with a chilled bowl of Bun Bo Hue and Mango Bubble Tea during warmer months, this restaurant offers a flavorful, heartfelt dining experience that keeps locals and newcomers coming back.

For authentic Vietnamese dishes prepared with quality and passion, Pho Thanh II stands as a trusted and beloved choice in the local dining scene.

The food, quantity and quality were exceptional, but i did find service to be lacking. It was very busy, but still I would have expected someone to refill tea or at least check on us after serving the food. I'm also disappointed in the checkout process, including the inability to leave a custom tip, you could only pick from 18% and up. What ever happened to 15% being standard and higher amounts reserved for exceptional service, which we did not receive. However, I couldn't finish my meal and had to leave quite a bit behind. Next time I'll order the small bowl and maybe an appetizer if I feel really hungry.

This is my favorite place to eat in Fayetteville. This place is great for Pho soup and warm noodles on a cold day as well as refreshing boba and cold dishes on a hot one. I highly recommend the V8 and V4, as well as the eponymous Pho soup.

One of the best Pho places around. Always fast and friendly service. The food has never disappointed me. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our family prefers the seasoning of this location over the other ones they have in NWA. Their rice dishes, and Pho is delicious and is actually better than some places in Dallas, which is where we’re from. It tends to be busy quite quite often each time we’re there and service isn’t the best. The first time they forgot to include one of the items we ordered and then the next time, it took 10-15 minutes after my wife got her pho for me to get my rice dish. But they are friendly and we can look past that. Overall we’ll be back

First time here, bun bo hue was tasty, and mi xao gion was flavorful, and most importantly ice water tasted clean, ( i cant stand a restaurant with nasty dirty tasting water) and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back again next time we’re in town. Diem

I’ve been coming here for years and have considered myself a loyal customer. I used to recommend this place to everyone because the pho was truly the best I’d ever had. Unfortunately, the last few times I’ve visited, the broth seems to have changed, it’s no longer as sweet and flavorful as it used to be, and now tastes a bit more watery and dull. I kept coming back hoping it was just an off day, but I’m starting to wonder if the recipe or cook has changed. I’ve recently found another spot that reminds me of how their pho used to taste, but I still have so much love for this place and hope to come back if the old flavor returns. The service has always been wonderful, and everyone here has consistently been so friendly.
